Eight year old Charlotte Pope along with Victorian Premier Steve Bracks and Federal Minister for Health and Ageing, Tony Abbott have officially opened the new $22 million Children’s Cancer Centre at the Royal Children’s Hospital.
RCH Chairman Tony Beddison expressed gratitude to all those who worked tirelessly to ensure the new Centre became a reality.
Charlotte was diagnosed with Leukaemia at the age of 5 and is now doing well following treatment. She was chosen to represent the hundreds of children treated for cancer at the hospital each year.
